Here's another tip. Never use nails to attach the riding surface. When my friend and I were young and in experienced we ran out of screws and used nails to finish off our first mini half because we were too exited to be done with it and start riding. After a few weeks, some of them wiggled loose and I took one to the knee and gashed the shit out of it, requiring a visit to the urgent care and lots of stitches.
