I think what guest one is trying to say is that there was a time when skaters were the outlaws, the renegades, the unique people, the people creating a new outlook, in short, they were COOL. Today is just a bunch of followers trying to bleed it dry. It is THE most common activity on the planet and, since you don't know, common is an insult! Scooters are more interesting to watch now. You can see skating everywhere, in every movie and every driveway. It is NOT cool it is common.
