First world industries tour. Demo scheduled in my town. Showed up too late, didn't get to skate, got into a fight in a hotel parking lot. Quit tour, drove back to california and started playing hockey and kicking ass, all the while kicking ass on a skateboard. Still one of my favorite skaters to see live.

I've watched Mike V for his entire career and I have to say that I never had much respect for him until these videos. He always just looked like he was interested in being henry rollins or wayne gretzky or mike tyson. And he jumped company ship every 18 months, always looking for a big paycheck and respect with often very sour promo. After these videos I can definitely accept him a little more. And we're fortunate to have Mike V, especially for his fist fights because he taught the world not to fuck with us. Yet, I like the old guy version of Mike V who seems to have less of an agenda/chip and is just a softer rad version. I also like how he stayed with his wife all these years. Props to her. Keep going Mike.

He's a jock and a fake tough guy. His last good video part was in 1281 and templetons part was better. Yes he'll always be remembered... As a half wit.

All of his influences he names are still sponsored or own companies. D1, your comment mades no sense. And just because you may not like him doesn't negate the fact that he has had a huge impact on skateboaring. I hate it when people don't respect our roots. Because of people like Mike we have skateboarding still to this day. At least he isn't selling his shit in Targets like Shawn White or P-Rod. That shit grosses me out. We are skateboarders, we need to keep skateboarding within our society.

Hey guest, I care too. Love him or hate him, Valley is the real deal. Whether or not I agree with any of his past decisions, when I see him skate, all that just fades away. When it's all said and done whose name will you remember, Mike Vallely or (the name of whoever is hot right now)? Vallely will stand the test of time.

funny that his idols/positive influences are those who aren't sponsored since he can't seem to stick with anyone for longer than 1-2 years, tops.
