It's about people doing cause they love it just like skateboarding, and deserves a bit of respect and understanding, just like those who approach skateboarding should; to understand it and respect it and realize what it's all about and understand the spirit of the individuals who do it because they love it. You don't just show up and decide that because you feel you're introverted or clever that now all of a sudden you should have an art show. Draw, paint, build, film, do whatever, but do it for the fun of it and get to know it; just like people should do w/ skating. If someone invaded and exploited skating like this you'd all be screaming bloody murder. It's corny and most of it looks like shit. And no I'm not a 90's baby, and I remember guys like Gonz and Mountain and Blender doing these weird drawings back in the 80's when most thought it was kinda weird and didn't make much it. They were on their own trip and did it cause they liked it and have a huge body of work that's been developed and refined and have something to talk about when the hang something up. Muska? Cab making stencils of evil Knievel? Chet Childress has an art studio? Bam making prints? Come on it's corny.
